Turbo Modes are suits and transformations that is used by Max and Steel to gain advantages over their enemies and new powers such as flight, superspeed, and invisibility. The Turbo Modes can be only activated if Max has enough T.U.R.B.O Energy to use them in battles.
Origins
When Max overloaded the Turbo Chamber, Steel linked with Max, and they formed Turbo Base Mode, which was their very first form.
Max's Turbo Modes
Here is a list of the following Turbo Modes Max Steel have used in the series. (Note that they are in order of appearance).
Turbo Base Mode
- Main Article: Turbo Base Mode
Turbo Base Mode, also known as the Steel Suit, is Max's and Steel's first form that was created when Steel first linked with Max. It gives Max enhanced strenghth and durability, and can never be taken off, due to safety issues, so Steel changes it's looks to make it seem like ordinary attire. It first appeared in Come Together Part One.
Turbo Strength Mode

Approximately three times as big as Base Mode, and packing a punch, this Turbo Mode is a heavy-hitter. Turbo Strength mode takes on the heavy-hitter jobs, whether it's dealing with Dredd, or beating Ultimate Elementor. It debuted in Come Together Part One.
Turbo Flight Mode

Making it's debut in Come Together Part Two, Turbo Flight Mode allows Max, and Steel, to fly through the sky using T.U.R.B.O Energy. It is also powerful enough to send Max and Steel into space.
Camouflage Mode

Camouflage Mode is a mode that was created by Steel just to hide Maxwell McGrath's secret identity. Usually, when Max uses this mode, he wears a blue jacket with the Steel logo on it (although that in the trailer of the series, the logo was in the right part of the chest), one watch in the left arm, blue jeans, and white shoes. In Season 2, the color of the jacket changes, and it goes to a grey version, although that is unknown why this change happened. This mode first appeared in Come Together Part Two.
Turbo Scuba Mode

Created in Hard Water by Steel, Turbo Scuba Mode was used to fight Water Elementor, and to search for Toxzon at the end of Gone Fishin', along with several other instances when it came in handy. It has flippers for feet, and a slick, more aerodynamic form to swim faster in the water.
Turbo Speed Mode

Since Max and Steel didn't had a fast Turbo Mode to fight against villains, Steel created the Turbo Speed Mode, which is the fastest Turbo Mode in Max Steel's arsenal, allowing him to have super-sonic speed, making Max faster than any villain. It minimizes delay and maximizes intervention time, but requires vast amounts of T.U.R.B.O Energy. This Turbo Mode appeared in Elements of Surprise Part Two.
Turbo Stealth Mode

Turbo Stealth Mode is one of Max Steel's Turbo Modes. This mode makes Max invisible wherever he goes, and also, new abilities are applied, like shock absorbers in the sole of foot, making Max virtually unable to be noticed by villains. This mode is usually used to recover archives of interest of N-Tek, and infiltration. It first appeared in Scrambled to fight against Extroyer Gorilla, since any modes of Max and Steel were able to defeat him.
Turbo Cannon Mode

Turbo Cannon Mode is one Max Steel's most powerful modes. It is a large and sturdy mode similiar to Turbo Strength Mode, that when charged with T.U.R.B.O Energy, can launch itself at enemies, doing extremely heavy damages. This mode is very durable in battles, and is also, the favorite mode of Max. It first appeared in Split Decisions, to fight against The Elementors.
Turbo Clone Mode

Turbo Clone Mode is a mode that is able to replicate himself to confuse the enemies. This mode is very similiar to the determined mode, the difference, is that they have a blue tint. Differrent of the other modes, this one requires a lot of T.U.R.B.O Energy, and extreme concentration to control it, otherwise, the clones will be undone. This mode first appeared in Pick Your Poison to fight against Toxzon and the Hypnotized Ultimate Elementor.
Turbo Super Mode

The Turbo Super Mode is one of the Turbo Modes of Max Steel. Different of the previous modes, Max hates this mode, but Steel absolutely loves it. This mode is based in the superheroes of the comics that Steel were obsessed on, hence the cape, and the "ridiculous" looking. This mode first appeared in Supermania, but was only officialy named in The Ultralink Hunter.
Turbo Heat Mode

Turbo Heat Mode is one of Max Steel's Turbo Modes. This mode is very bulky and large, similiar to other modes in the arsenal. With this mode, Max Steel is able to convert his T.U.R.B.O Energy into scorching fire, which is very powerful and efective against The Elementors. Although that this mode is very powerful, it costs a lot of T.U.R.B.O Energy, and needs concentration to operate it, otherwise, Max will lose the control of him, and will turn into his base mode. It first appeared in Hot Zone.
Turbo Rocket Mode

Turbo Rocket Mode is Max's eleventh Turbo Mode. This mode is one of the most powerful of the arsenal, even able to defeat Makino. With this mode, Steel is able to reconfigure the SteelSuit to a improved version, more powerful, and upgraded with two cannons, each of them, able to launch varied T.U.R.B.O Energy blasts. This mode also costs vasts amounts of T.U.R.B.O Energy, and was only used to fight against Makino in Makino Strikes: Part Two, which was its debut.
Turbo Spike Mode

With Turbo Spike Mode, Max gets ninja-like abilities, and two black and long whips that have turbofied spikes, which can be used to climb walls, or even to destroy Makino Ships. This mode is very similiar to Turbo Stealth Mode because of the colours, and seems to be one of most leaner Modes in Max's arsenal. Although that this mode is very powerful, Max loses a part of the defensive properties, making him an easy target to villains.
Turbo Combo Mode

With Turbo Combo Mode, Max is able to combine each mode in his arsenal, to create fusions even powerful than before. The first combination done was Turbo Spike Mode between Turbo Cannon Mode, in the movie, Max Steel: The Dawn of Morphos, which marked the debut of this mode.
Turbo Nova Mode

When Max Steel uses Turbo Nova Mode, he turns into one of the most powerful modes in the whole arsenal. Armed with three powerful cannons, Max can easly defeat his enemies by only launching a powerful and Turbofied shot in them. It first appeared in Max Steel: The Wrath of Makino, used to enter in the competition to gain the place of commander of Ultralinks.
Turbo Annihilation Mode

Probably, one of Makino's most dangerous modes. This Mode was created when Makino forced Max Steel to create a new Turbo Mode, to finally destroy Copper Canyon and then the world. This is a very large and giant Mode that had two versions, the first being of Max, and the second being of Jim. It first appeared in Max Steel: The Wrath of Makino.
Turbo Titan Mode

The Turbo Titan Mode, is a mode that was only created to defeat Makino. This mode is about the same size of Turbo Annihilation Mode, equipped with two blades in each hand. Like another powerful Modes of Max Steel, this one consumes a lot of T.U.R.B.O Energy and makes Max feel exhausted.
Steel's Turbo Mode
Turbo Mimic Mode
Turbo Mimic Mode is a Turbo Mode that's only useable by Steel. It is Steel's First Turbo mode. Mimic Mode allows Steel to create his own versions of Max's Turbo Modes, at the cost of more T.U.R.B.O Energy. But overusing this mode makes Max & Steel unable to change modes. Turbo Mimic Mode's first appearance was in The Ultralink Hunter. He gets thumbs when he mimics Strength or Cannon mode. Till now he has only mimicked Turbo Super Mode, Turbo Cannon Mode and Turbo Strength Mode.
Jim's Turbo Modes
Since Jim McGrath was the first Max Steel, he had also Turbo Modes, the only difference, is that they are different when compared to Max's modes, but similiar in use.
Turbo Stealth Mode
It was revealed, that Jim McGrath used this mode during an Ultralink Invasion in an unknown planet. It seems to has the same abilities of the Turbo Stealth Mode used by Max and Steel.
