Jack Connors was a former N-Tek agent who was a close friend of Jim McGrath. They used to play videogames together and he earned the nickname of "Crusher" from him.
While Max and Steel are battling Toxzon, Connors saves Sydney and Kirby from the wreckage. He left the place afterwards, leaving Max and Steel curious about who he was. Forge later on reveals that he was Jack Connors, a former N-Tek agent who was living anonymously amongst the general populance and was a close friend of Jim McGrath.
Despite Forge's protests to not go after Connors, Max and Steel disobey him and find Connors. He talks about Jim and mentions that they were a good duo just like Max and Steel while he prepared something for them to eat. Max mentions that there were lots of things he didn't knew about N-Tek and his energy and requests Connors for answers, though he is reluctant. Before he could answer, he passes out. Max and Steel realize that there was a mechanical bug controlling him and he suddenly awakens. They follow him to a building where it's revealed that Miles Dread and Jason Naught were controlling former N-Tek in hopes of extracting information of the organization.
Max and Steel intercept Jason and Miles' plans and a battle ensues. Naught commands Connors to attack Max, who refuses to fight back against him. To his surprise, Connors had broken free of Jason's mind control and attacks him, allowing Max to take him down and ruin his plans. He later on thanks Max for saving him and mentions that he was getting too old to fight against villains. Connors and the other former N-Tek agents are later relocated to parts unknown so no one could find them, meaning that Max and Steel couldn't talk with Jack about Jim.
Several weeks later, Connors sends a package to Max and Steel containing a videogame, a photo of him and Jim playing it along with a letter telling him to "crush" his father's records with the new game.
