After C.Y.T.R.O., Alex, Rayne and Max managed to escape from the robot zombies, they ended up on Kilgore's base. They were about to shoot them, but his army stated that it was Max Steel and Kilgore presented himself and said no one was allowed to get out from that perimeter. Max says that he and his team were going to stop Mortum, who was the responsible from the zombie outbreak. Kilgore asks where he is and C.Y.T.R.O. says the exact coordinates from Mortum's base. After he discovers the coordinates, he decides to launch a missile with great proportions that would blow up the entire Copper Canyon in around 10 minutes. Max tries to convince Kilgore but fails and decides to go by himself to rescue Steel. While Max was already gone, Kilgore was retorting.
Eventually, the missile is released but it goes in vain since Mortum activated a powerful, gigantic shield that protected his whole base and later turned everyone on Earth into zombies, including Kilgore and his army.
After Mortum was defeated by Max and his team, Kilgore's infection was reversed and he was turned into a normal human once again.
Not much is known about Kilgore's abilities, but he has leadership skills and his army is equipped with heavy weaponry.
Kilgore's name is a portmanteau of the words kill and gore.
Kilgore is extremely serious, brave, responsible and strict. He was going to launch a missile that would reduce Copper Canyon to dust and wouldn't stop by any means, even with Max's team trying to convince him to not do that.
Kilgore's army highly respects him.
Kilgore firstly interacted with Max during the robot zombie outbreak. Kilgore presented himself to Max and advised him that no one would pass the perimeter and eventually he would release a bomb that would blow up Copper Canyon and prevent the mutation from going any further. Max continuously said that this wasn't needed, even though that he ignored and allowed his forces to launch the bomb.
- Commander Kilgore's name is an allusion to a character with the same name from the movie Apocalypse Now , a movie released in 1979.
